Anthurium ‘Angela®’ was so-named in April, 2022 when “Angela” (the owner of Europe’s “Casa Botanica” in The Netherlands) visited with Dr. Block. Among the thousands of plants she saw, Angela was curiously drawn to a unique round leaf showcasing wide-veins evolving through pink-brown hues. Several years earlier, DocBlock had developed this unique wide-veined breeding line featuring different color forms, including brown/wine red and grey/violet blue.  These hybrids were pollinated by Anthurium ‘Michelle®’ Awarded “Best New Flowering Plant” at the 2022 TPIE Show (Tropical Plant International Expo) – Tampa, Florida – USA.

This cross is expected to capture several of the desirable features coming from both of their beautiful and vigorous parents…  Some variation in the offspring of any F2 hybrid seedlings is to be expected.
