The front of this Anthurium ‘Michelle’ cultivar’s new leaf evolves from purple with contrasting lighter “hot pink” vein colors! It gradually matures into dark green hues with contrasting silver veins. The reverse-side of the leaf is a negative leaf color image of the front showing those same pink veins! The pollen for this hybrid comes from Anthurium ‘Brown Derby’… a relatively large and vigorous Anthurium crystallinum cultivar selected for dark red emergent leaves that evolve into velvety brown colors before ultimately turning dark green.
